A hydrogen water bottle costs many times what a good stainless flask costs, weighs more, needs charging, and holds less. It is worth being clear-eyed about that trade before buying one. Here is how the two compare on the things that actually matter day to day.

Where the regular bottle wins
On almost everything except the one thing.
An ordinary bottle holds more, weighs less, survives being dropped, goes in the dishwasher, takes coffee or squash or electrolyte tablets, never needs charging, and costs a fraction as much. If your goal is to drink more water, a bottle you actually enjoy carrying will do more for you than any amount of technology.
It is also worth saying plainly: a hydrogen water bottle will not make you drink more water. Hydration is a habit problem, not a hardware problem.
Where the hydrogen bottle wins
It does something an ordinary bottle physically cannot: it dissolves hydrogen gas into water on demand.
That matters only if you want hydrogen-rich water. If you do, the alternatives are worse. A countertop machine costs considerably more and stays in your kitchen. Hydrogen tablets work but are a recurring cost and you are dosing by packet rather than by cycle. Pre-bottled hydrogen water is the weakest option of all, because hydrogen escapes from containers steadily — what you buy is not what was sealed.
Generating it where and when you drink it is the only approach that sidesteps that problem entirely. That is the case for a bottle-format generator, and it is a genuinely good one.
What does not change
A hydrogen water bottle does not filter or purify. Whatever is in your tap water is still there afterwards. If your water quality is the actual concern, buy a filter — they are cheaper and they solve that problem directly. Many owners use both: filtered water going into the hydrogen bottle.
It also does not change taste, temperature or pH in any way you would notice.
The practical answer for most people
These are not competing purchases. Nearly everyone who owns a hydrogen water bottle also owns a normal one, and uses each for what it is good at: the hydrogen bottle for a deliberate 460 ml at home or at a desk, the flask for carrying a litre around all day.
Buy the hydrogen bottle if you specifically want hydrogen-rich water and want to make it fresh. Do not buy it as a general-purpose water bottle upgrade — it is a worse water bottle, and it is not trying to be a better one.
